Coleg Cambria Engineering student Elliott Valentine received the IMechE (Institute of Mechanical Engineering) Award.

Elliott, 24 from Wrexham, was recently awarded the IMechE ‘Most Improved Student/Apprentice 2017’ – Merseyside and North Wales region. He is employed at Prysmian Cable & Systems Ltd was nominated by the College for his work ethic and the exceptional high standard of work.

Elliott started studying at Coleg Cambria as a school links learner back in 2012/13 completing a BTEC Level 2 in Engineering whilst still a pupil at Darland High School. He went on to complete the Enhanced Engineering L2/L3 course at the College and spent work experience at Prysmian Cable & Systems Ltd, managing to secure himself an apprenticeship with the company. In 2017 he completed his Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship and was sponsored to complete a HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
