The Enrichment Programme
Coleg Cambria is committed to the broadening of students’ experiences and offers a large selection of recreational and extra study options including football, netball, hockey, climbing, skiing, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Skills for Caring, Film Society, Debating Society, radio broadcasting and production, student magazine, vocal and instrumental ensembles, volunteering and planning an event. Active Cambria Sports and Physical Activity
At Coleg Cambria we have a vision to engage all our students in becoming active, healthy and mindful.
Active Cambria supports this vision by offering free fitness, wellness and health activities and advice days to all students at Coleg Cambria, throughout the year. Engaging and supporting you to change any bad habits into good ones and become active during your time here. We have seen many students prosper from the opportunities given to them, such as increase in confidence, improved emotional development and weight loss. These activities consist of Pilates, Yoga, weights, mind fullness, football, table tennis and many more.

Active Cambria also offers you hands on experience to develop yourself and your CV through coaching opportunities, Duke of Edinburgh, various coaching awards and volunteering opportunities within the college and the community. Many former students have developed skills which enhanced their chances of employment and receiving offers from their chosen universities.

Competitive sport participation, ensuring elite athletes have the opportunity to progress in regional and national competitions. Through Welsh colleges and British colleges competition structure. We wish to celebrate success of our students, please let the Head of Sport, Sally Jones, and the Elite Sport Coaches know if you are an elite sportsperson and any successes you have during and after your time at the college. You can also represent the college or Wales depending on your ability in golf, tennis, badminton, trampolining, gymnastics, hockey, squash, cross country, swimming and volleyball.
This year, we are focusing on; netball, men’s rugby, women’s rugby, men’s football, women’s football, hockey and tennis.
