CollegesWales Sport are excited to announce that they will host their first ever FE Multisport festival for FE colleges across the UK at Pembrey Country Park on Wednesday, 8 May 2019.
Working in partnership with Carmarthenshire County Council, Welsh Triathlon, Welsh Cycling, AoC Sport and Coleg Sir Gâr, the cycling and multisport festival is aimed at competitive athletes and those looking to try multisport for the first time.
Building on the popularity of cycling and multisport events following the recent successes of Geraint Thomas and other Welsh and British athletes, the event provides a new competitive opportunity for FE learners, a pathway for aspiring athletes and a first attempt multisport activity
There are three race options available:
1. A competitive multisport race of 5km run / 20km bike / 2.5k run
2. A competitive cycling 10Km time trial
3. A beginners multisport race of 1km run / 4km bike / 1km run
There are two options available for entry:
Elite competitions – Individual competitors@£10 per student
Beginners event – Groups of up to 15 students per college @£100 per group
(Entry is open to students from FE Colleges in Wales and England who are members of ColegauCymru / AoCSport respectively.)
